5 CDC faculty get promoted

The hard work and dedication of five faculty members of the College of Development Communication (CDC) were rewarded through promotions.
Four of the five faculty members were promoted through the 2009 Merit Promotion. First on the list is Dr. Cleofe S. Torres, dean of the College. Dr. Torres, Associate Professor 7 at the Department of Science Communication (DSC) is now Professor 1.

Professors Rhodora Ramonette de Villa of the Department of Educational Communication (DEC) and also the College Secretary and Ma. Teresita B. Osalla of the Department of Development Broadcasting and Telecommunications (DDBT) were promoted from the rank of Assistant Professor 1 to Assistant Professor 2.

Further, Mr. Aldo Gavril T. Lim, Instructor 2 at DSC, was promoted to Instructor 5.

On the other hand, after earning his master%u2019s degree in development communication, Mr. Elmer Harold O. Grande, Instructor 5 at the Department of Development Journalism (DDJ), became eligible for automatic promotion. Mr. Grande, who finished his BS in Development Communication from CDC as cum laude, was appointed as Assistant Professor 1 effective May 26.
