Custodio appointed as GS faculty

Prof. Pamela A. Custodio of the Department of Development Journalism (DDJ), became a member of the UPLB Graduate School faculty effective May 26.

Prof. Custodio, a UP Presidential Scholar, is in her last semester as a graduate student under the PhD in Development Communication program of the College of Development Communication (CDC), UPLB. A recipient of a PhD research grant from the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), she is working on her dissertation titled The Constitution of Participation in the Narratives of Grassroots Research and Extension for Sustainable Agriculture.

Prof. Custodio teaches core and major courses at CDC and French 10 and French 11 courses at Department of Humanities

College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). She is also a regular volunteer-on-call and faculty facilitator-in-charge of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) of the UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungod. Her key areas of specialization include participatory communication, community communication, and qualitative research.

Before joining CDC in 2007, Prof. Custodio served as Lecturer II for the French 10 and French 11 courses of the Department of Humanities, CAS, UPLB for a year. For seven years, she was a University Extension Associate at the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE), UPLB.
Prof. Custodio finished her master%u2019s degree in development communication and bachelor%u2019s degree in agriculture from UPLB.
